Buyer II
Vadnais Heights, MN | Direct Hire | $30–$35/hr
Konik is partnering with a growing, high-performing manufacturing organization to add a Buyer II to their purchasing team. This is a key role within a lean, collaborative group where this individual will take ownership of day-to-day purchasing, supplier relationships, and material flow to support continued company growth.
This opportunity is ideal for someone who enjoys being hands-on in procurement, building strong vendor relationships, and making a direct impact on operations in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Buyer II Responsibilities
Source, evaluate, and onboard suppliers based on cost, quality, and delivery performance
Negotiate pricing, lead times, and supply agreements to support operational and financial goals
Execute MRP-driven purchase orders and manage inventory levels for raw materials and components
Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors through regular communication and collaboration
Partner cross-functionally with engineering, project management, and operations teams on new and existing programs
Maintain ERP data including part numbers, supplier records, and approved vendor lists
Monitor supplier performance and market conditions to proactively address risk and availability challenges
Support continuous improvement efforts across purchasing processes and supplier strategy
Buyer II Qualifications
3+ years of purchasing or procurement experience in a manufacturing environment
Experience purchasing raw materials or production components
Strong vendor relationship management and negotiation skills
Experience with ERP systems such as Epicor (preferred), SAP, or Oracle
Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel
Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Experience in plastics, medical device, or regulated manufacturing environments is a plus

Fully on-site role located in the Vadnais Heights area
Standard schedule: approximately 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM, Monday–Friday
Small, highly collaborative purchasing team with strong visibility

Hourly pay range: $30–$35/hr depending on experience
