Job Description

DK Global produces 3D animations, medical illustrations, and videos for trial attorneys. This industry is challenging, fast paced, and exciting. As the Medical Illustrator and Storyboard Artist, your primary responsibility will be to create, and provide technical expertise, quality control, consultations, feedback on all medical presentations, or presentations with medical elements under the direct guidance of our Creative Director and Project Managers. Your main goal will be to ensure that we are providing our clients with outstanding, medically accurate presentations.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: 

• Create sequential medical storyboards for surgical animations as a first step in the production process and review medical storyboards by providing guidance to the artists on execution of presentation elements represented therein.
• Create medical illustrations that match DK Global’s standards and style by utilizing 2D and 3D assets, as well as, review, and/or provide guidance on medical illustrations for all 2D and 3D medical presentations.
• Review case material for medical presentations and provide guidance on presentation elements, imagery, and potential enhancements.
• Attend medical project kickoff and milestone meetings to ensure that proper execution of medical portion is met. 
• Create and/or review mark-ups and surgical documentation for all 2D and 3D medical presentations. 
• Create, review, and/or provide guidance on medical illustrations for all 2D and 3D medical presentations. 
• At client’s request, when no imagery is present, direct damages using medical knowledge and provided case materials.
• Consult on meetings with clients and/or physicians, as needed. 
• Provide quality control reviews and offer feedback/creative direction regarding medical accuracy on all medical presentations, or projects with medical portions or elements.
• Review all medical assets in the stock vault and offer feedback on accuracy, as well as guidance to the artists for improvements and updates. 
• Provide guidance and assist with stock vault medical presentations to better utilize the library of assets with updates/edits.
• Collaborate with our medical and marketing teams to create novel ways of visualizing difficult concepts.

 

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS:

• Board-Certified Medical Illustrator by the Association of Medical Illustrators.
• 3 - 5 years of experience. 
• Minimum of bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences or Biomedical Visualization preferred. 
• Detail-orientated with the ability to manage projects from inception through execution.
• Experience with animations and illustrations.
• 3DS Max experience is a plus.

SALARY: $64,500 - $83,500 depending on experience. 

SCHEDULE: 40+ hours weekly - full time.
