Are you looking for a fast-paced and challenging position that will provide you with extremely valuable Data Analytics experience? We are seeking a highly motivated and qualified Enterprise Data Analytics Analyst  who can  work collaboratively in a team environment to conduct analysis and testing activities for reports, dashboards, and  components of the Enterprise solution. Working with your new team, you'll have the opportunity to engage  in a wide variety of innovative problem-solving activities to provide analysis and quality assurance support to the  organization. Your work directly impacts the success of FTB's mission and helps Californians meet their tax  obligations, which in turn funds the majority of programs that support all Californians.

In your role:

  • You will design, develop, and maintain business analysis and data reporting systems for various enterprise applications. These are used to support  decision-making and problem-solving across different departments and functions.
  • You will create and update system specifications, change requirements, and other documentation following various Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC) methodologies.
  • You will provide production support and coordination for data reporting programs within FTB.
  • You will communicate and present your analysis results to various levels of stakeholders in both written and verbal form.
  • You will create and execute test scripts, set up test data, and create and update documents based on new software requirements as requested by business partners and the requirements team.
  • You will work closely with other Testing, Analysis and Development team members to resolve defects and issues.
  • You will learn to take necessary steps to validate and update systems testing procedures as needed.

  • Experience in testing reports and dashboards
  • Experience analyzing design documentation and requirements; identifying gaps in design and business requirements
  • Experience writing and executing test scripts and completing follow-up results documentation
  • Experience with testing FTB tax systems or similar integrated applications
  • Experience using testing tools
  • Experience in and demonstrated ability to work both independently and in a team environment
  • Ability to adapt to changing assignments and priorities and work effectively under pressure to meet deadlines
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Knowledge of FTB's organizational structure, business program areas, technology architecture, tax systems,applications, processes, and/or functions.
  • Knowledge of data reporting techniques, such as data tables, graphs, charts, and statistical methods
  • Experience planning, organizing, and managing multiple simultaneous workloads, priorities and/or deliverables
  • Facilitating meetings with technical and non-technical staff
  • Experience developing system documentation such as requirements, specifications, presentations, policies,procedures, graphical diagrams, mock-ups, test cases, scripts and/or training materials
  • Experience working within the Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC) including requirements gathering & analysis, testing, training, implementation, and working with partners in analysis, development, and  test
  • Experience researching and troubleshooting technical issues, identifying and recommending potential solutions
  • Experience writing and executing Structured Query Language (SQL) queries to identify specific data conditions
  • Experience with data reporting software tools, such as Tableau, Business Objects, and Pega Real-Time Reports
