The Dental Assistant Instructor / Externship Coordinator plays a pivotal role in shaping the next generation of dental professionals through high-quality education and mentorship.   • Deliver engaging and effective instruction in classroom and laboratory settings, ensuring alignment with curriculum standards.

  • Monitor and record student attendance, assess performance, and submit timely and accurate reports.
  • Maintain clean, organized, and safe classroom and lab environments to facilitate effective learning experiences.
  • Ensure strict compliance with federal, state, and institutional policies and accreditation standards.
  • Participate actively in faculty development programs, departmental meetings, and other assigned institutional responsibilities.

  • Current Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) license, demonstrating professional credentials and expertise.
  • Graduate of an accredited Dental Assistant program with a minimum of 900 contact hours, ensuring a solid educational foundation.
  • At least 4 years of professional experience in dental assisting, providing practical industry knowledge.
  • Teaching experience is preferred but not mandatory, with a willingness to develop instructional skills.
  • Degree or post-secondary education as required by state and accreditation standards.
