Job Description

English Air Service, LLC (EAS) is a specialized helicopter operator providing aerial services including LiDAR survey, powerline construction support, aerial application, and utility patrol throughout the United States. Our fleet includes aircraft such as the Bell 206L series and MD500/530 platforms supporting utility, energy, and mapping clients.

We are currently seeking an experienced Contract LiDAR Pilot to support upcoming aerial survey projects.

Position Overview

The Contract LiDAR Pilot will operate a Bell 206L aircraft for LiDAR and aerial survey missions. The pilot will work closely with sensor operators, project managers, and ground crews to safely and efficiently complete precision survey flights in support of mapping, infrastructure, and utility projects.

This position requires strong turbine helicopter experience, precision flying ability, and the ability to work in remote locations with variable schedules.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate Bell 206L aircraft for LiDAR survey missions
  
• Conduct precision flight profiles required for LiDAR data collection
  
• Coordinate with sensor operators and project managers
  
• Complete required flight logs and operational documentation
  
• Maintain strict adherence to FAA regulations and company safety policies
  
• Participate in safety briefings and mission planning

Job Requirements

Minimum Requirements

Applicants must meet the following minimum qualifications:

• Current FAA Commercial or Airline Transport Pilot Certificate – Rotorcraft Helicopter
  
• 1,500 hours total helicopter flight time
  
• 1,000 hours Pilot-in-Command (PIC)
  
• 1,000 hours turbine helicopter time
  
• 200 hours PIC in Bell 206L series
• 50 hours PIC in Bell 206L series in the last 6 months
• Current FAA 2nd Class Medical Certificate or higher
  
• Strong safety record and professionalism
  
• Ability to travel and work rotational schedules
  
• Ability to work with LiDAR sensor operators and survey crews
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior LiDAR or aerial survey experience
  
• Utility, powerline, or precision flight experience
