We are looking for an IT Business Analyst to act as an additional staff member on the application support team, specifically to assist with IT Contract management. The resource will perform the following duties as a Business Analyst at the client. Key resource will not assist, contribute or participate in RFP/ Bid work that will have conflict of interest for CAI. This will be a full-time contract and hybrid in Chicago, IL.
What You’ll Do
Analyze IT procurement contracts for software licenses, cloud services, cybersecurity agreements, and hardware supply chain deals. Pull obligation data through SQL database queries to spot compliance risks, supply disruptions, supplier performance, and savings opportunities.
Monitor procurement orders, invoices, and payments across ERP platforms like Oracle while creating live Power BI dashboards for spend patterns, total contract values, inventory levels, and supplier KPIs.
Develop forecasts and executive reports in Power BI by extracting data via SQL from procurement systems (e.g., Coupa, Oracle) to highlight utilization trends, spending gaps, supply chain delays, maverick spend, and compliance red flags.
Run detailed audits on supply chain and procurement contracts using analytics tools, checking terms, supplier KPIs, delivery SLAs, RFx processes, and full adherence.
Produce dynamic Power BI dashboards and compliance reports that break down audit results, risk profiles, cost avoidance insights, improvement ideas, and action plans for procurement teams.
Partner with IT procurement leads, supply chain, finance, and IT teams to deliver spend insights, Power BI visuals, budget forecasts, capex projections, and category strategy modeling.
Help shape IT procurement and supply chain compliance standards by developing custom monitoring tools, reusable Power BI templates, and policy enforcement frameworks.
What You’ll Need
Required:
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, Finance, Supply Chain Management, or a related field
5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst supporting procurement, IT contracts, finance, or supply chain functions
Strong experience analyzing IT procurement contracts, including software, cloud, cybersecurity, and hardware agreements
Advanced proficiency with SQL for data extraction, analysis, and reporting
Hands-on experience developing dashboards, reports, and analytics using Power BI
Working knowledge of ERP and procurement systems such as Oracle ERP and Coupa
Strong understanding of procurement compliance, contract terms, supplier performance metrics, and audit processes
Excellent analytical, documentation, and stakeholder communication skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver accurate insights in a fast-paced environment
Preferred:
Experience supporting IT procurement or technology-focused supply chains
Experience conducting procurement or contract compliance audits
Familiarity with budgeting, forecasting, and capital expenditure analysis
Experience working in large enterprise or regulated environments

$80,000 per yearThe pay range for this position is listed above. Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including location, experience, and education. Benefit packages include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as 401k retirement account access.
