Job Description

Position Overview

We are seeking a proactive NetSuite Specialist to manage, optimize, and support our NetSuite ERP environment. The role is responsible for system configuration, customizations, integrations, and ongoing administration to ensure reliable operations, data integrity, and alignment with business processes. The ideal candidate will partner with finance, operations, and IT teams to deliver secure, scalable solutions and continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Administer and configure NetSuite accounts, modules, roles, permissions, and workflows to meet business requirements.
  • Design, develop, and maintain customizations using SuiteScript (1.0 and 2.x), SuiteFlow, and custom records to extend NetSuite functionality.
  • Manage integrations between NetSuite and external systems (RESTlets, SuiteTalk/SOAP, middleware such as Celigo or Boomi), including mapping, monitoring, and error handling.
  • Provide day-to-day support for end users: troubleshoot issues, resolve system errors, and respond to ticketed requests in a timely manner.
  • Develop and maintain saved searches, reports, and dashboards for finance, operations, and leadership to support decision-making.
  • Lead NetSuite upgrades, release testing, and change management activities to ensure smooth deployments and minimal disruption.
  • Enforce data governance, perform data cleansing, migrations, and reconciliations to maintain data accuracy and compliance.
  • Document system configurations, processes, procedures, and support guides; deliver user training and onboarding as needed.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders and third-party vendors to scope projects, estimate effort, and manage delivery.
  • Monitor system performance, capacity, and security; implement best practices for access control, backups, and audit trails.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Accounting, Finance or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 3+ years of hands-on NetSuite administration experience supporting mid-market or enterprise ERP environments.
  • Practical experience developing SuiteScript (1.0 and/or 2.x), SuiteFlow, SuiteTalk (SOAP), and RESTlet integrations.
  • Strong understanding of ERP principles, accounting/finance processes (AR, AP, GL, fixed assets), and order-to-cash / procure-to-pay cycles.
  • Experience with systems administration concepts (permissions, SSO, backups, performance monitoring) and IT change control processes.
  • Familiarity with integration platforms (e.g., Celigo, Boomi) and data formats (JSON, XML, CSV).
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with strong verbal and written communication and stakeholder management abilities.
  • NetSuite Administrator or SuiteFoundation certification is a plus, as is experience with SQL and reporting tools.
