Job Title: Senior IT Project Manager (PMP Certified)
Location: Chesterfield, VA (Hybrid up to 3 days onsite per week)
Duration: Contract

Key Responsibilities
Lead multiple IT projects across various business units within the county
Manage project scope, schedule, cost, risks, and quality throughout the lifecycle
Develop and maintain governance artifacts including project charters, schedules, and status reports
Support requirements tracking and light business process definition activities
Coordinate cross-functional teams including infrastructure, security, integrations, GIS, and application groups
Monitor vendor deliverables and support issue resolution
Provide reporting to executive leadership and stakeholders
Apply PMBOK methodologies and county PMO standards
Support testing coordination, defect tracking, and change management activities
Prepare cost-benefit analyses and assist with business case documentation
Track schedule health metrics including SPI reporting
Ensure alignment between technical solutions and business needs
Must pass CJIS background verification and FBI criminal background check
Required Qualifications
Active PMP certification required (PMI)
10+ years of experience managing enterprise-level IT projects
Strong experience managing scope, schedule, budget, and governance documentation
Experience coordinating stakeholders and cross-functional technical teams
Strong communication skills supporting technical and non-technical audiences
Proficiency with Microsoft Project, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Teams
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working within state or local government environments
Exposure to business analysis practices and process documentation
Familiarity with CJIS-regulated environments
Experience supporting infrastructure, cloud, GIS, or system integration projects
Additional Requirements
Hybrid work schedule with onsite presence up to three days per week
