Full Service Chimney™ offers a Registered Apprenticeship for Fireplace and Chimney Repair Technicians, with a pathway to Journeyman-level leadership within 18–24 months. Through paid on-the-job training , you will build skills in this specialized trade, take on a greater role, and work toward becoming a future team leader who helps train incoming apprentices.

As a Repair Technician Apprentice , you’ll begin as an assistant. This is a physically active, hands-on role in a specialized skilled construction trade for people who want more than routine work and know they do not belong at a desk. The apprenticeship is not just training for one job—it is the foundation for a long-term career path that can lead to multiple future roles as our company grows and new positions are created.

What You’ll Do

• Assist senior technicians with inspections, repairs, and installations
• Learn brick masonry, welding, concrete , and gain more advanced skills
• Safely work at heights (ladders, scaffolding, rooftops) year-round
• Operate tools and handle physical tasks such as lifting and material handling
• Help repair and reline fireplaces, chimneys, and venting systems
• Follow safety protocols and maintain equipment

What We’re Looking For

• Strong math skills and the ability to read a tape measure
• Construction or labor experience is a plus, but not required
• Physical stamina to work outdoors in all weather
• Reliable daily commute to Spring Hill, KS, or willingness to relocate
• Team-oriented, adaptable, and eager to learn
• Trade school education, JROTC/ROTC, or military experience is a plus (not required)

Apprenticeship Pathway

Once invited to join, apprentices receive paid, on-the-job training and related technical instruction, preparing them for certification and advancement into repair crew leadership roles . Our Registered Apprenticeship Program is ideal for mechanically inclined individuals . You’ll start with paid, hands-on training to build your skills and confidence in the trade.

Requirements

Minimum Requirements for employment:

1. Must be 18 years or older
2. Authorized to work in the U.S.
3. Possess a valid driver's license with a clean driving record
4. Undergo a background check and drug screening
5. Pass fitness and aptitude assessments
6. Able to lift up to 60-80 lbs confidently
7. Able to climb ladders and build scaffolding at heights for lengthy periods, regardless of weather conditions
8. Reliable daily commute to Spring Hill, KS, or willing to relocate

Benefits

Compensation Package

Pay:

• Compensation begins at $60,000 annually , based on hourly pay plus overtime.
• Final starting wage is negotiated at hire and is based on qualifications such as experience, education, certifications, trade skills, or military service.
• Opportunities for income growth as you gain skills, earn certifications, and take on advanced roles.
