Perform full-cycle electrical estimating from conceptual budgeting through hard bid submissions
Analyze plans, specifications, contracts, and bid documents to develop complete and accurate estimates
Prepare defensible scopes of work, labor projections, material takeoffs, and pricing strategies
Manage bid schedules, vendor and subcontractor quotations, and proposal submissions
Lead bid strategy development, risk identification, and value engineering efforts
Participate in Go/No-Go decision-making and pursuit planning activities
Interpret contract requirements, procurement structures, general conditions, and compliance obligations
Support post-bid reviews and analyze estimate performance against actual project outcomes
Maintain and improve estimating databases, labor units, and estimating systems
Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors, suppliers, distributors, and project stakeholders
Coordinate project turnover meetings with operations and project management teams after project award
Serve as a technical resource and mentor for estimating best practices
Support projects throughout Renton, Tacoma, Seattle, and surrounding Washington markets

Minimum 10 years of electrical estimating experience
Direct public works estimating experience is required
Proven experience estimating projects for Port of Seattle (including Airport), WSDOT, Sound Transit, King County, or similar public agencies
Strong proficiency with McCormick and/or Accubid estimating software
Demonstrated success estimating complex electrical infrastructure, transportation, utility, transit, or commercial construction projects
Advanced knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC), electrical systems, and construction methodologies
Advanced Microsoft Excel, reporting, and documentation skills
Ability to identify project risks, develop bid strategies, and support value engineering initiatives
Strong communication and collaboration skills across estimating, operations, and leadership teams
Highly organized, process-driven, and detail-oriented
Experience participating in post-bid analysis and continuous improvement initiatives
Ability to manage multiple bids, deadlines, and competing priorities
Experience mentoring or supporting junior estimators preferred
Prior leadership or supervisory experience preferred
Demonstrated bid hit rate and awarded work conversion success
Proven estimate accuracy compared to actual project costs
Examples of successfully awarded public works or infrastructure projects
Ability to explain estimating decisions, risk assessments, bid strategies, and project outcomes
Ability to provide a project list or bid summary showcasing estimating performance and results
