Overview
Surgical Tech — Travel assignment in Needham, Massachusetts. Start date: May 26, 2026. Duration: 13 weeks. Weekly pay: $2,192–$2,345 per week. Guaranteed hours: 72 biweekly (not including on-call). Shift: 4x10 days. This role supports a busy, high-volume surgical services environment with multiple operating rooms.

Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain sterile fields for a wide range of surgical procedures
- Assist surgeons and circulating staff with instrument preparation, handling, and counts
- Pass instruments, retractors, and supplies during procedures; manage specimen handling as required
- Operate or assist with specialized equipment and navigation systems (e.g., Aquablation, Stealth navigation, NIM) and surgical robotics as directed
- Support cases across specialties including Urology, ENT, Orthopedics (Hand/Foot, Joints, Trauma), GYN, General, Colorectal, Robotics, Breast, Plastics, Pain/Spine
- Maintain patient safety and adhere to Epic-based documentation and institutional policies
- Collaborate with perioperative team to ensure efficient room turnover and readiness for subsequent cases

Requirements
- Certifications: NBSTSA certification required at time of submission; NBSTSA verification preferred
- Licenses: NBSTSA-related credentialing as required; active status required at submission
- Certifications: BLS and ACLS (AHA) required
- Experience: 2+ years of surgical tech experience; prior travel experience preferred
- Skills: Epic experience required
- Scheduling/authority: Must be separated from the prior employer (e.g., 6+ months) for consideration
- On-call: 10-hour day shift with on-call requirements (weekday and weekend); call every 6–8 weeks; weekday call approximately 1x per week
