Responsibilities
- Assist the circulator and surgeon during a wide range of surgical procedures.
- Maintain a safe, sterile environment for the patient at all times under the direction of operating room personnel.
- Prepare the operating room, instruments, and supplies; handle instrument and tray setup; assist with specimen handling and counts.
- Monitor adherence to sterile technique and infection prevention standards; report any deviations or concerns to the surgical team.
- Support the surgical team in patient safety, positioning, and documentation as required; participate in on-call scheduling as assigned.

Requirements
- Ability to work in a high-demand operating room environment and follow established sterile technique.
- On-call availability as part of the assignment.
- Demonstrated ability to assist during surgical procedures and coordinate with the circulating nurse and surgeon.
- Eligibility for a travel assignment and ability to work a rotating shift.
- Compliance with applicable state and federal laws, regulations, and facility policies governing health care.
